The Career Garden project was initiated due to the lack of internship opportunities as a result of the pandemic. The project aims to offer interactive and digital taster internships to sharpen vocational orientation and career aspirations. The partners are working together with companies to develop modules for starting an internship that pupils can use in vocational or general schools or at home for career guidance. They give young people the opportunity to enter the world of work and gain initial experience in various professions, even if they are unable to be on site.
In addition to students and pupils, schools and companies from five different sectors also benefit from the activities: IT, medicine, trades and construction, the hotel and catering industry and education. As part of the project, companies not only have the opportunity to develop a digital internship for their own company, but also the chance to find talented international trainees and future employees.
The results of the project are intended to serve as a model. There are plans to extend the ideas to other sectors beyond the regular project duration.
