Companies today face the challenge of embedding sustainability as an integral part of their business operations and work processes. Global developments such as climate change, biodiversity loss, geopolitical shifts, and increasing regulatory requirements at both European and national levels are fundamentally changing the conditions in which businesses operate. At the same time, employees, customers, and investors increasingly expect companies to take responsibility and systematically integrate sustainability considerations into their activities. Although sustainable business practices are increasingly recognised as a key factor for competitiveness and long-term success, many companies still face gaps in sustainability-related skills and awareness.
EMPOWER (S)ME addresses these challenges by supporting employees, professionals, managers, and apprentices in SMEs in developing a holistic understanding of sustainability and translating this knowledge into concrete actions within their organisations.

- Competence and format mapping
- Development and piloting of a modular bootcamp curriculum, including teaching materials and good practice examples
- Development and implementation of a Train-the-Trainer guide and training modules
